From now until 19 October 2025, new applicants for the HSBC Premier Mastercard can receive up to 106,200 bonus miles. This promotion is available to both new and existing HSBC cardholders, with no annual fee for those who qualify as HSBC Premier customers.
The HSBC Premier Mastercard has recently seen several improvements. Enhancements include higher earn rates, unlimited airport lounge access for up to four cardholders, and double the complimentary airport limo rides, all without fees for Premier customers.
These updated benefits take effect immediately, and HSBC has added a new welcome offer of up to 106,200 bonus miles. Both new and existing HSBC cardholders are eligible.
Applicants who can maintain a balance of S$200,000 with HSBC Premier will find this card highly attractive.
HSBC Premier Mastercard welcome offer
Customers who apply between 19 August and 19 October 2025, with approval by 2 November 2025, can receive one of the following gifts:
- Premier Qualified Customer: Minimum spend of S$5,000, up to 106,200 miles (265,500 HSBC Points)
- Non-Premier Qualified Customer: Minimum spend of S$5,000, annual fee of S$708.50, up to 46,200 miles (115,500 HSBC Points)
The larger bonus is available only to Premier Qualified Customers, defined as those who have a Premier relationship with HSBC and maintain a Total Relationship Balance (TRB) of at least S$200,000 or its equivalent in foreign currency. These customers also enjoy a permanent waiver of the annual fee.
Non-Premier customers will receive a smaller bonus and must pay the annual fee.
All applicants must spend a minimum of S$5,000 by the end of the month following approval. They must also agree to receive marketing and promotional materials from HSBC at the time of application, and this consent must remain active when the bonus is credited.
Who is eligible for this offer?
This promotion applies to customers who do not currently hold a principal HSBC Premier Mastercard and who have not cancelled one within the past 12 months.
This requirement is less restrictive than HSBC’s usual welcome offers, which exclude anyone holding any principal HSBC credit card or who has cancelled one in the past year.
What counts as qualifying spend?
Cardholders must spend at least S$5,000 by the end of the month following card approval. Purchases by both principal and supplementary cardholders count towards this total.
Card Approval Date | Spend Period |
---|---|
19–31 Aug 2025 | 19 Aug – 30 Sep 2025 |
1–30 Sep 2025 | 1 Sep – 31 Oct 2025 |
1–31 Oct 2025 | 1 Oct – 30 Nov 2025 |
1–2 Nov 2025 | 1 Nov – 31 Dec 2025 |
This provides between one and two months to complete the required spending. To maximize time, it is advisable to have the application approved early in the month.
Excluded transactions include payments via CardUp and ipaymy, gambling, government services, and prepaid account top-ups.
Notably, categories such as charitable donations, hospitals, insurance, and utilities are not excluded, though HSBC specifies the list is not exhaustive.
When will the welcome gift be awarded?
Bonus HSBC Points will be credited within 120 days from the date the account is opened.
What can you do with HSBC Points?
HSBC Points can be converted to more than 20 airline and hotel partners. Transfer ratios differ by partner, and this affects the final value of the bonus.
Some partners transfer at 25,000:10,000 (e.g., Asia Miles, British Airways, EVA Air), while others require 30,000, 35,000, or 50,000 points for the same 10,000 miles.
For KrisFlyer, the ratio is 30,000:10,000.
This means the advertised 106,200 miles is based on partners with the 25,000:10,000 ratio. If points are transferred to KrisFlyer, the value is 88,500 miles instead.
Earn rates for the card are also based on these ratios. With the 25,000:10,000 ratio, the card earns 1.68 mpd on SGD spending and 2.76 mpd on FCY spending. At less favorable ratios, the earn rate can be as low as 0.84 mpd locally and 1.38 mpd overseas.
Conversions are made through the HSBC Singapore app and are processed instantly, except for certain partners such as Hainan Fortune Wings Club (5 business days) and Japan Airlines Mileage Bank (10 business days).
Transfers are currently free, and points from different HSBC cards are pooled together. The minimum block is 10,000 miles (5,000 for Accor), with small subsequent blocks available to prevent orphan points.
